My name is Nicole Pondell and I am currently a Psychologist working as an independent contractor at Saturday Consulting in the East Valley and in Phoenix, Arizona, which also serves most of the Maricopa County area, specializing in the evaluation and treatment of individuals who have sexually offended. I completed my doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology at Midwestern University. I have my Bachelor’s of Science degree in Psychology and my Master’s of Elementary Education degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Arizona State University. I have a lot of diverse experience working with children, adolescents, and adults from all backgrounds.

I worked in an after school program for three years as an assistant program manager, designing and implementing programs for children, from kindergarten to fifth grade. I also worked in a locked residential mental and behavioral health facility for children ages 8 to 18 years old as a behavioral health technician. Additionally, I was employed at Child Protective Services (CPS, now DCS) for five years were I took on special assignments and conducted other duties.

During my internship year working at a community mental health center, I was exposed to variety of mental, emotional, and psychosocial issues that impacted children, families, and the community. I completed my post- doctoral residency at Psychological and Consulting Services under the supervision of Dr. Steven Gray and Dr. Tina Garby, training in psychosexual and risk evaluations, as well as providing therapy to court ordered probationers who have been convicted of a sexual offense.

I have focused my work on forensic and private assessments examining risks and behavioral issues, such as adolescent and adult psychosexual/risk evaluations, forensic psychological evaluations, forensically informed treatment, and sexual abuse prevention. Within the past 2 years, I have expanded my interests to include Rule 404 (b) and (c) comprehensive reports and Sexual Violent Person (SVP) Screening Evaluations.
